Dr Lydia Lepcuchel

Lydia Lepécuchel has a PhD in Immunology from the University of Marseille (Faculty of Luminy, France) focusing on the role of Heat Shock Proteins in the development of Rheumatoid arthritis. Her experience mainly concerns the field of Proteins, their structure, production, purification and interaction properties. Prior to the PhD, Lydia gained a Master in Biochemistry in the University of Sciences and Technology in Nantes (France). From 2003 to 2005, she was a Marie Curie fellow researcher in the R&D division of Nutricia (Numico Research B.V) in Holland. Her research activities concerned cow's milk allergy and the development of hypoallergenic baby food. Through this project, she acquired additional experience in Microbiology to study the hydrolysis of milk proteins by Probiotics.

Lydia joined Pera in October 2006 in the International Business development department where she managed the EC funded project VALOR focusing on the commercialisation of research results and managed a partnering service for EC proposals. In May 2008 she joined the Healthcare practice as a consultant proposal writer and project manager where her role involves the planning and writing of proposals for the EU FP7 funded programme and the subsequent management of the funded projects. She is now part of the Pera Technology delivery section as project manager of medical EC-funded collaborative projects.
