Michael Morris

Michael completed a four year Indentured Engineering technical apprenticeship at Frederick Parker in Leicester and qualified as a Design Draughtsman gaining an HNC in Mechanical Engineering and an HNC Endorsement in Fluid Power Technology.

After working in the design office for a number of years, Michael then went on to work for a number of major International Industrial Companies including Tarmac, Cemex and Metso in various locations throughout the UK. These positions involved project management and engineering management and required extensive travel throughout the UK, Europe, Canada and the USA. Michael has over twenty years' experience of project management working on a variety of projects with values worth several million Euros or Pounds.

With experience in the minerals processing and mechanical handling industries, Michael has a very detailed knowledge of the asphalt, concrete and quarrying business sectors and processes, again both in the UK and also throughout the world.

Michael also previously worked on three DTI (TSB) funded projects at Parker Plant Ltd as an industrial partner working in collaboration with Pera Technology on projects including land remediation and environmental issues.

Having joined Pera Technology in 2008 he has since worked on TSB projects (one of which achieved the TSB's 'Top 15 Projects' accolade) and EC FP7 R4A and R4SME projects in the environmental technologies practice. These projects have involved land remediation, moulded paper pulp packaging, microwave heating and also the fisheries/aquaculture sectors.
